AYUSH ministry recommends including some simple kitchen recipes to boost immunity and prevent respiratory infections

In consultation with 16 eminent Ayurvedic Doctors from India, the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India has recommended measures to boost an individual’s immunity and support respiratory health as preventive measures in these lockdown days.

The ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy) said Ayurvedic formulations and simple kitchen recipes are in the interest of public health promotion. The ministry’s letter also detailed preparation methods of kitchen recipes that can be made using hot water or swallowed in tablet form.

Health experts believe that coronavirus reduces the immune response of the infected patient and aggravates mostly in people with a low immune system. According to health experts, the improvement of the immune system may help in reducing the effects of infection.
